A credit card payment of $49.50 it’s required. The credit card could be Visa or MasterCard, and the cardholder name should be the same as the person which name will be at the permit.

Proof or American residency with any of the following documents:

Mexican citizen (legal resident):

a. Resident: Resident alien card
b. Birth Certificate
c. Proof of work authorization in the foreign country. Authorization must be valid for more than one year.
d. Dual Citizenship: Certificate of naturalization or passport from the foreign country and a Mexican passport.

Foreign citizen:

a. Foreign passport
b. Birth Certificate
c. Certificate of naturalization
d. Voter registration card
* When entering Mexican territory, you must first apply for a tourist visa at the National Institute of Migration (form FMT, FM3 or FM2)

Proof of vehicle ownership, with any of the following documents:

a. Vehicle title
b. Valid vehicle registration certificate
c. Invoice
* If you are not the owner of the vehicle you should present a document that proves ownership and a document that proves the importer’s relationship with the vehicle owner such as spouse or children. Valid documents include marriage or birth certificates.

It is very important that you complete the vehicle return operation. Send this document together with copies of the required documents that were used to process the permit. You could send this documents by any of the following options.

b. Show the documents to any of the modules of Banjercito located at the border or at the Mexican consulates.

Mexicans: the person who imports, spouse, ancestors, descendant or brothers/sisters, as long as they are permanent foreign resident; a foreign with the appropriate migratory quality or any other person, as long as the person who imports travels on board of the vehicle.

Foreigners: the person who imports, spouse, ancestors, descendants or brothers/sisters, as long as they are not foreigners; foreigners that have an authorization with a migratory quality or also by a national, as long as they travel on board with any of the authorize person to drive the car.

Foreigners: a valid ID and a copy, as well as the documentation issue by the Instituto Nacionl de Migración who credits your migratory quality; this will be deliver at the offices of Migration located at the border.

Mexicans: document that valid your legal residency abroad or oficial documents that proves your migratory quality that shows that you are working for a year or longer (legal mexican resident: a permanent or temporal residence card, work permit or citizenship papers with the letter of double citizenship; tourist: pasport, birth certificate, citizenship paper or the registration to vote) and the number of the Social Security.

Additionally:

Title of vehicle property, registration, invoices or contract of the landholder to name of the importer.

Payment of the service to Banejercito

Proof or the return of the previously imported vehicle, if any.

10 días previos al viaje es el tiempo recomendado para solicitar el trámite.

Un pago de $49.50 dólares con tarjeta de crédito de EU a nombre del importador. La tarjeta de crédito puede ser VISA o MasterCard.

Acreditar residencia legal en EE.UU. con cualquiera de los siguientes documentos:

Mexicano Residente Legal en EU

a. Tarjeta de residente definitiva o temporal.
b. Pasaporte de EE.UU.
c. Credencial de trabajo con antigüedad de un año o mayor.
d. Certificado de Naturalización con carta de doble ciudadanía.

Extranjero Turista:

a. Pasaporte
b. Resident Alien
c. Certificado de Naturalización
d. Registro para votar
* Además de presentar cualquiera de estos documentos deberá tramitar forma migratoria en la frontera FMT, FM3 o FM2

Comprobar la propiedad del vehículo con cualquiera de los siguientes documentos:

a. Título de propiedad.
b. Registro del vehículo vigente de cuando tramitó placas o renovó su engomado
c. Carta factura o contrato de arrendamiento.
* Si el título de propiedad esta a nombre de tu esposo(a), hijo(a) ó padres, deberá presentar el acta de nacimiento ó de matrimonio según sea el caso.

Firmar la promesa de retornar el vehículo importado temporalmente y enviarla o entregarla junto con copias simples de tus documentos que utilizaste para la captura de tus datos (comprobante de residencia legal en el extranjero y de propiedad del vehículo) el envío puede ser cualquiera de la siguientes tres maneras:

b. Entregar la documentación en cualquiera de los módulos de Banjercito ubicados en la franja fronteriza o en los consulados mexicanos.

Extranjeros con calidades migratorias de inmigrantes temporal o no inmigrantes, excepto refugiados y asilados políticos.

Mexicanos con residencia legal en el extranjero o que comprueben estar laborando, por más de un año, mediante documentación oficial.

En consulados de México en las ciudades de Albuquerque, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Forth Worth, Houston, Denver, St. Paul, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Bernardino y San Francisco; este trámite puede realizarse hasta con seis meses de anticipación.

Ahora puedes realizar el trámite por Internet: Precione aquí para empezar el trámite y se entregarán en tu domicilio el permiso y holograma dentro de los siguientes 20 días hábiles. De esta manera, agilizas tu trámite.

Mexicanos: el importador, su cónyuge, ascendientes, descendientes o hermanos, siempre y cuando sean residentes permanentes en el extranjero; un extranjero con la calidad migratoria necesaria o cualquier otra persona, siempre y cuando el importador viaje a bordo del vehículo.

Extranjeros: el importador, su cónyugue, ascendientes, descendientes o hermanos, aun cuando éstos no sean extranjeros; extranjeros que cuenten con la calidad migratoria que los autorize para tal fin o también por un nacional, siempre y cuando viaje a bordo cualquiera de las personas autorizadas para conducir el vehículo.

Extranjeros: original y copia de identificación vigente, así como de la documentación expedida por el Instituto Nacional de Migración que acredite su calidad migratoria; esta se entregrará en las oficinas de Migración ubicadas en la frontera.

Mexicanos: documento que acredite tu residencia legal en el extranjero o la documentación oficial que compruebe su calidad migratoria que demuestre estar trabajando por un año o más (residente legal mexicano: tarjeta de residente definitiva o temporal, mica de trabajo o certificado de naturalización con la carta de doble ciudadanía; turistas: pasaporte, acta de nacimiento, certificado de naturalización o registro para votar) y número de Seguridad Social.

Adicionalmente:

Título de propiedad del vehículo, registración, carta factura o contrato de la arrendadora a nombre del importador.

Pago del servicio ante Banjército.

Comprobante de retorno de los vehículos importados anteriormente, si es que aplica.
